Biography

Biography

Otto Herbert Hajek wurde 1927 in Böhmen geboren.
Nach einem Studium der Bildhauerei in Stuttgart folgen in den 50er Jahren erste internationale Einzelausstellungen und Aufträge für Kirchenausstattungen (St. Aurelius, Hirsau; Maria Regina Martyrum Berlin) und den öffentlichen Raum.
1980-92 leitet Hajek die Bildhauerklasse an der staatlichen Akademie in Stuttgart,
1988 widmet ihm die Nationalgalerie in Prag eine Einzelausstellung,
1989 die Zentrale Kunsthalle Moskau.
