My work is inspired by visual thought about things. I'm not as interested in what things mean or how they might be interpreted, but rather in their mystery. Without logic or reason, there is always something unseen. The world is infinite rather than finite. I never end up with what I set out to do. I always start with a script, but I don't ever follow it all the way through to the end. A lot more happens when I open myself up to the work and let myself act and react to it.

I use my own photographs as the script. I never think of the photograph as the end product, but as a fragment. I process and reprocess the photographs several times using computer software to change color, perspective, and use superpositions, collage and computer generated images to arrive at the final image. I incorporate elements from real life, the imagination and fantasy. I observe and respond to modern life, technology, and popular culture to look for the magic in this world.

Every piece 'talks' to me, and if I listen to it, it take me places that I have never dreamed of. It's this interaction that makes my work richer.

Meine Arbeit ist inspiriert von visuellen Gedanken ueber Dinge. Ich bin nicht so sehr interessiert was Dinge bedeuten oder wie sie interpretiert werden, sondern mehr in Ihrer Mystik. Ohne Logik oder Gruende ist immer etwas nicht sichtbares vorhanden. Die Welt ist viel mehr unendlich als endlich.

Ich ende meist nie mit dem was ich mir eigentlich vorgenommen habe zu machen. Ich beginne immer mit einer Idee, die ich aber meistens nie bis zu Ende verfolge. Es passiert viel mehr interessantes, wenn ich mich waehrend der Arbeit oeffne und staendig auf sie reagiere.

Meine Photographien benutze ich wie ein Manuskript. Sie sind nicht das Endprodukt, sondern nur ein Teil davon. Ich ueberarbeite die Photos oder Teile davon mehrmals mit Hilfe von Computer-Software. Mit der Bearbeitung der Farben, Perspektiven, Positionen, sowie der neuen Zusammensetzung verschiedener Bildteile erreiche ich schliesslich das endgueltige Bild (HyperPhoto). In meinen Bilder vermische ich Elemente des normalen Lebens mit eigenen visuellen Phantasien. Mit der Reaktion auf modernes Leben, Technik und Kultur schaue ich nach der Magie dieser Welt.

Jedes Bild "spricht" zu mir und wenn ich zuhoere, gelange ich zu Dingen von denen ich nie getraeumt habe. Es ist diese Interaktion, die meine Arbeit reicher macht.
