Biography

Biography

Born in 1950 in Leon, Iowa, Mark Todd received his BFA, MA and MFA degrees from the University of Iowa. Since 1978 he has taught drawing and design at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. Todd has exhibited his work widely, in over thirty solo exhibitions and 200 group exhibitions throughout the United States as well as in Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America. An accomplished poet, five books of his poetry have been published since the 1970s. He is also involved in the music industry, having produced albums, written song lyrics, and designed several album covers. Works of art by Mark Todd are in the collections of the Blanton Museum of Art, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and the San Jose Museum of Art, among numerous other institutions.
